In 2005, Bernard Derenne and Agnès Voltz, after spending many years at Gamma, decide to open their own photography gallery in Paris: Chambre avec Vues.
From 2005 to 2010, Chambre avec Vues presented more than thirty exhibits, favoring the discovery of new talents such as Ambroise Tézenas, Alexeï Vassiliev, Alain Cornu and Ruben Brulat, and putting the spotlight once again on recognized photographers having slipped from the public eye such as Gladys, Marc Garanger and Jean-Pierre Sudre.
The gallery also curated exhibits shown outside the gallery, such as “Terre des Pôles”, hung on the Luxembourg Garden railings in Paris in 2008.
Chambre avec Vues became an association in 2010 and today, it continues its mission of highlighting and promoting the photographic medium by curating exhibits and creating events in connection with photography.
Under the impulse of Agnès Voltz, Chambre avec Vues is the moving force behind the planned exhibition at the Gare de l’Est.
